Exotic weapons are some of the most powerful guns you can add to your loadout in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1, but they’re not easy to find. Here’s how to get your hands on them all.
Exotic weapons like the Dragon’s Breath Sniper and the Burst Quad Launcher first appeared in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 and were available to purchase from NPCs around The Island using Gold Bar currency.
With Chapter 3 focusing on all things new so far, like the map, some players were unsure if Exotic weapons would stick around. Fortunately, they’re still here, although the details of where to find them have changed.
Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about Exotic and Mythic weapons in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1, including the NPCs that sell them and how many Gold Bars you’ll need to purchase them.

How to get Exotic weapons in Fortnite
Exotic weapons can only be acquired by trading Gold Bars with specific NPCs that appear at various locations on The Island. Previously, these NPCs could appear in multiple locations, but fortunately, they’re all static so far in Chapter 3.
Not sure what Gold Bars are? We’ve got you covered in our handy guide to the Fortnite in-game currency. Essentially, you’ll need to complete Bounties or missions from NPCs to earn Bars, or search safes and shop tills to gather them.
Exotics aren’t as powerful as Mythic weapons, and whether they’re actually worth spending your Bars is up to you. But like all limited-time weapons and collectibles in Fortnite, we’re sure players will be doing their best to try them all.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 Exotic weapon locations
Epic Games have taken things back to basics in Chapter 3 with only five Exotic weapons and items available to find hidden around The Island. Of course, it’s very likely that more will be added in the future.
For now, these are all of the Exotic weapons available in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1:
As you can see from the table above, the Marksman Six Shooter and the Boom Sniper Rifle can actually be purchased from two NPCs and they’ll cost the same amount of Gold Bars no matter who sells it.
While the Chilli Chug Splash isn’t a weapon, it’s still classed as an Exotic item.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 Mythic weapon locations
There are currently two Mythic items in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1. The first is the Mythic MK-Seven Assault Rifle, which you can only get by defeating The Foundation, a boss located at The Sanctuary.
The second Mythic item is Spider-Man’s Web-Shooters, which allow you to swing around the Island by attaching yourself to trees and buildings. We’ve got a guide to finding the Web-Shooters here.
That’s everything you need to know about Fortnite’s Exotic and Mythic weapons so far. We’ll update this guide if any new ones get added in future mid-season updates, so make sure you check back soon.
