The much-awaited Halloween update in Fortnite will bring the Fortnitemares 2023 event, new Augments, themed cosmetics, and related quests. It’s also rumored to bring back candies, Witch Broom, LTMs, and much more to the island. Here are the early patch notes for the 26.30 update.
In anticipation of one of the most awaited events of the year, Fortnite players are gearing up for Fortnitemares 2023 as update 26.30 approaches. The annual Halloween event is always a lot of fun, with all the creepy new skins, weapons, terrifying ways to play, and the fascinating lore that runs around the island.

The update is also rumored to introduce new event-related quests and free rewards for players. While Kado Thorne and his Dealers have already seized control of the island, the upcoming Fortnitemares event will reveal the darker side of the new boss, complete with a mythic weapon.
However, right before the event arrives on October 10, 2023, here are the early patch notes for the 26.30 update.

Fortnite update v26.30 will release on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
Downtime for this update will begin on the same day at 1 AM PT / 3 AM ET / 9 AM BST. We’ll update the section once the servers are back online so that you can experience the new Fortnitemares 2023 content seamlessly.

As Halloween celebrations approach in Fortnite, the new Fortnitemares 2023 event will be introduced with the 26.30 content patch. The two-week event is rumored to introduce numerous new additions to the game, as well as the Vampire version of Kado Thorne, armed with a new mythic weapon, and several new creatures roaming the island.
As always, the Fortnitemares event will also deliver a set of related quests and a chance for players to acquire free rewards upon completing them. It is rumored that these rewards include in-game cosmetics such as a pickaxe, glider, and an outfit.

It is also rumored that the Fortnitemares 2023 update will introduce two new weapons to the island: the Vampire Stake Shotgun and the Vampire Kinetic Blade. In addition, it will also add the Pumpkin Launcher and Candy consumables.
In addition, it is hinted that the Witch Broom traversal item will be updated to a red-colored broom and added to the loot pool. The Lightsabers and Force abilities will be vaulted with the update.
Fewer Ads|Dark Mode|Deals in Gaming, TV and Movies, and Tech
Additionally, Vaults will either be disabled for Fortnitemares or modified to include Halloween-themed Mythics such as Howler Claws, Shadow Midas’ Drum Gun, Inkquisitor’s Suppressed SMG, etc.

New Augments
According to a number of data miners, the Fortnitemares update will also include the addition of two new Reality Augments: Trick or Treat and Witchy Warrior. These will grant 10 additional health while consuming candy and reduce the cooldown of Witch Broom respectively.
Once these are implemented into the game, we’ll add them to our complete list of Reality Augments, along with the gameplay advantage they provide.
Horde Rush (Zero Build) LTM returns
It is also speculated that the long-awaited Horde Rush LTM in Zero Build mode will return with the 26.30 patch, as players have been eager to leap back into the action and slay hordes of cube husk monsters in the storm.

In addition, the LTM will include adjustments such as the activation of Augments, the introduction of New Cube Monster Part Upgrade Benches, the addition of quests with free rewards, and the return of old sideways weapons.
New cosmetics

While there have been no leaks regarding any free cosmetics that will be granted during Fortnitemares 2023, data miners were able to decrypt four distinct outfits from the game files during the 26.20 update. These include a new style for Grisabelle, a forthcoming skin for the Contorted Scowl, Khaby Lame’s Mummy style, and a new anime skin.
